Trifernal (dsm-firmenich) is a very strong, highly diffusive green note with a natural, slightly bitter “crushed foliage” character—ideal for giving realistic greenery to lilac, hyacinth, violet, and muguet accords. It creates natural effects in florals, also works in aromatic and cologne styles, and is effective at very low dosages.

In formulas it bridges top and heart, boosting freshness and clarity without synthetic harshness. Pair with leafy facets (e.g., cis-3-hexenol), galbanum, and muguet/lilac/hyacinth materials to build a convincing green aura. It's biodegradable and produced via green synthesis.
