Odor description: tobacco, sweetish, warm, with honey and spicy nuances
An exceptional tobacco absolute obtained from the leaves of Nicotiana tabacum grown in Bulgaria. The abbreviation MD in the name stands for molecular distillation — the vacuum-distillation process applied to the standard absolute. This advanced treatment removes the intense red-brown pigment (eliminating the risk of staining finished compositions) along with a significant portion of the fatty acids, which make up 20–30% of a classic tobacco absolute. The result is a much thinner product, easier to handle and virtually non-staining.
Compared to classic tobacco absolutes, the MD version stands out for its remarkably smooth, noble and clean scent — losing nothing of its aromatic richness, yet free of the "heaviness" and earthy, occasionally musty ballast present in raw extracts. This is tobacco in its most distinguished, elegant form.
In terms of scent, it opens warm and honey-and-hay-like, with notes of caramel, dried fruit and gentle leather. A delicately spicy finish lingers in the background. To put it more vividly — the scent calls to mind the moment of opening a fresh pack of cigarettes: that warm, dry, sweetish-tobacco aroma of cured leaves at their prime ;)
