Odor Description: sweet-floral, honeyed, hints of spice 

One of the most important building blocks of honey notes — perfumers often describe it as "the core of the smell of honey," the element that gives honey its characteristic heavy sweetness. It occurs naturally in honey, jasmine, magnolia, narcissus and many other flowers.

It is a classic in honey, jasmine and rose accords. It works beautifully with methyl anthranilate, PEA (phenylethyl alcohol), heliotropin and vanillin — entering into synergy with them in reconstructions of honey and bee-related accords. It also performs wonderfully in white floral compositions (jasmine, magnolia, tuberose), in hyacinth and mimosa, and even in fruity accords (plum, wine, brandy). It is also used as a flavour component (honey, caramel, cocoa, spice, peach).
