Mastic essential oil (from Pistacia lentiscus), derived from the shrub's resin, is a unique raw material with a fresh, resinous character accented by herbal and woody undertones. A pleasant coolness—reminiscent of juniper—is intertwined with a distinct, slightly astringent note, creating a refined, Mediterranean atmosphere.

Compared to the absolute, the oil has a much brighter, cooler, and more volatile scent profile.

The mastic used by Biolandes is harvested in the forests of the Rif region in northern Morocco. Biolandes employs sustainable harvesting methods to protect this natural resource—only a few branches are collected from each plant to produce the essential oil.
