Odor description: green-fruity, fresh, with floral (violet) nuances

A classic, iconic "green" molecule from the IFF portfolio — chemically cis-3-hexenyl methyl carbonate . Also known under other tradenames: Leafovert (Symrise), Vertelione, Muguet Carbonate. Among perfumers, Liffarome is regarded as one of the finest molecules for building green, "leafy" accords — alongside Triplal, cis-3-hexenol and cis-3-hexenyl acetate.

Liffarome is fresh, natural and distinctly green — the opening recalls freshly cut grass, crushed violet leaves and wet ivy. Beneath this green layer, however, lies a clear, soft fruity nuance — ripe pear and green apple — which clearly distinguishes Liffarome from the more raw cis-3-hexenol.

An excellent molecule for green, floral, aquatic and "natural" compositions. It brings vitality and naturalism to white floral bouquets (lily of the valley, magnolia, lily), to cyclamen and freesia accords, and to fougères and modernist chypres.
