Isolongifolene is a tricyclic sesquiterpene with a dry woody-conifer profile: pine–cedar, slightly camphoraceous, with a peppery-resinous snap. It acts like a discreet “dryer”, adding clarity in the heart without giving sweetness or weight. Excellent in fougère, aromatic and woody builds, and in tobacco-leather or incense themes where it boosts a natural resinous dryness.
