Odor description: fruity-waxy, lightly floral, with rum and cognac nuances

An aliphatic ester — chemically the ethyl ester of lauric acid, naturally present in small amounts in many fruits and fermented products, including wine, cognac and rum.

Its scent is soft, oily-waxy and rather subtle. Ethyl Laurate does not play the lead in a composition, but the discreet role of filler and texture modifier.

It performs beautifully in floral, fruity and gourmand compositions, bringing gentle smoothness and a natural character. It also finds use in coconut, creamy-fruity and alcoholic-fruity accords (rum, cognac, wine).
