Odor description: herbaceous, aromatic, warm, tea, tobacco, woody and ambery nuances

A certified organic essential oil of clary sage (Salvia sclarea) produced by the French house Biolandes in partnership with local French grower-distillers. Harvested in July, steam-distilled from flowering tops and leaves.

What does "Pays" mean in the name? It's a French word literally meaning "country" or "region" — in Biolandes' nomenclature it signals local, French origin, sourced from small regional producer-distillers. It's an analogy to the wine term "vin de pays" — a regional, local wine with a distinctive terroir character. In other words, "Pays" says: this is French sage, from French soil, made by French artisans.

It has a herbaceous, aromatic scent that is clearly clary sage, with a woody-lavender character, ambery hints and a soft chamomile touch in the background. What really sets it apart is a very noble, tea-like note that gives it an elegant, boutique feel. Warm, rounded and long-lasting on the skin.
