Black pepper absolute (Piper nigrum) is a rather rare absolute — few producers make it, which makes it all the more gratifying that this one comes from Firmenich. That guarantees quality, stability and, above all, batch-to-batch consistency.

Compared to the essential oil, the absolute has a darker, deeper and more matte olfactive profile. It preserves the characteristic fresh pepperiness, but veers into 
heavier, almost leathery-smoky territory.

NOTE: the absolute has the form of a thick paste (it dilutes without any issues).
