Manufacturer: Symrise
Odor Description: floral-fruity, jasmine, ylang-ylang
One of the most fundamental molecules in all of perfumery — chemically benzyl acetate (CAS 140-11-4), present in virtually every classic floral composition of the last 150 years. It occurs naturally in large amounts in jasmine absolute (accounting for as much as 20–25% of its composition), in ylang-ylang, tuberose, gardenia and many other white flowers. Our version comes from Symrise — one of the world's largest producers of aromachemicals, guaranteeing top purity, batch-to-batch consistency and impeccable chromatographic stability.
Benzyl Aceate is an absolute cornerstone of jasmine, gardenia, tuberose, ylang-ylang and frangipani accords. A classic "extender" and amplifier of expensive white floral absolutes (jasmine, tuberose). It performs beautifully in fruity-floral compositions, in pear and apple accords, and as a bridge between top and heart notes — bringing radiance, sweetness and lift to a composition.
